    highly recommanded

Vlora had managed to put together the fines dishes of the Mediterrean food. The quality and consistency was high across the large menu, with a service that was absolutely exceptional. i would definitely recomand it if you are looking for a baby friendly restaurant or a rendezvous for your next romantic dinner.

    A Must Go To Restaurant

Vlora was an amazing food experience. And to top it off, the ambience is very European and serence. We at at the bar and the bartender, she was fabulous, making recommendations on what to order. The watermelon with feta was delicious as was the grilled zuchini and yogurt sauce. The gnocchi out of this world and different than Italian style gnocchi. Can't remember the name of the dessert, but it started with a K and my friend and I thought it could quite possibly be the best dessert ever. The only drawback to Vlora is there is no sign outside or valet parking. It is well worth it to park in the garage on Clarendon and walk the block to Vlora. Really, really, really good!!!

    A new cool Restaurant/Hangout

I love the place. It has such a good energy. I have been there twice already . The food is simple but good. The wine list is reasonably priced. The only thing I did't like the first time I went there, was the fact that it is hard to find. They do not have a sign outside. I was ready to go somewhere else. It was worth the trouble though. Anyway, check it out

    great!

I went to Vlora because I was told that it was a great restaurant and I was really impressed. The decor and the Ambience were very very European. I had amazing customer service and I feel bad for the reviewer below who didn't. He just has to go again and realize that the restaurant was brand new the service they have now is amazing. They know so much about the wine and they suggested the perfect match for the food I ordered. Grilled Octapus was delicious, the Salmon was fresh and the lemon potatoes make you realize that any other choice of patato doesn't need to be out there. No joke, they are so good you can't help it but order one to go. I have never been so excited about food as I was Saturday at Vlora. The owner was very funny and very friendly. The Kasata is to absolutely to die for. I don't think I will ever try another restaurant if I go out. I will go to Vlora.

The wait isn't just for a table...

We were looking forward to eating at Vlora because it had just opened and looked very nice. The menu was small but had good choices - for appetizers we ordered the watermelon and feta and the shrimp cocktail, both delicious. For entrees we ordered the salmon with lemon potatoes and roasted carrots, the half chicken with roasted green beans and dill mashed potatoes, and salmon with sauteed mushrooms. The green beans were seasoned perfectly and the lemon potatoes were fresh and citrusy. The salmon was tender, but the chicken rather dry. I give Vlora a 0.5 in service because it took over 50 minutes for our entrees to come out. Well after the first glass of wine and the appetizers were finished and cleared, we sat at the table getting multiple refills of water but no entrees were to be seen. At one point, a server (who had cleared our appetizer plates and silverware) asked if anyone had brought bread and olive oil, and we said no. He said he'd be right out with some but never came back. Finally after asking several waitstaff and the manager about our entrees, they brought out our food. I spoke with the manager and told her we'd been seated at 8:45 and that it was now after 10 and we still didn't have our entrees. The manager offered a complimentary glass of wine, but since I don't drink alcohol it didn't help much. What's worse is that after we ate, the server brought out a dessert menu and assured us it was complimentary. We ordered the tiramisu, kaseta, and one coffee. When the check came, nothing but one $7 glass of wine had been comp'ed. Are you kidding me? The original manager had already gone home for the night, and I asked to speak to the manager that was present so our entrees could be comp'ed. I told him we were more than happy to pay for our drinks, appetizers and desserts since those had come out in a timely manner but that the entrees should be comp'ed because it had taken almost an hour for it to come out. He flatly refused, saying there was nothing wrong with the food. He insisted he'd worked in many 5 star restaurants and they'd never bought entrees for anyone. I frequent several restaurants in NYC that I know WOULD do it. In the end, he agreed to comp just the desserts and coffee. This isn't a food issue, it's a service issue. For a new restaurant that's trying to establish clientele, I'm quite surprised this is the way they handled the matter. Though the food was good, I will not return because the service was simply atrocious.

    Wonderful!

The food was absolutely delicious, with fantastic flavors from the highest quality ingredients. The selection did have a fair amount of vegetarian options too. Excellent wine selection! Beautiful decor and atmosphere! Across from copley square under the street near GNC, it is hidden but a delight when found. Check it out!
