An OK lunch spot
This was the first time my husband and I visited this spot. We were looking for a decent meal for lunch, something not too expensive and food that wasn't too heavy. One of his colleagues referred him to Vinalia, which is located in the heart of downtown. The atmosphere reminded me of a private "members only club", lots of men in suits and ties; the meal was OK, I wouldn't recommend to any of my colleagues and I wouldn't visit for lunch again. I may, however, stop by for appetizers and drinks after work with friends. The prices are reasonable for that part of town. The wait staff is very nice and professional; the food just wasn't great to me. I had a seared scallop dish, which came with bacon (not wrapped in bacon) pieces of bacon that didn't do justice to the dish or the presentation. The Caesar salad dressing was bland, TG I asked for the anchovies. My husband had the crab cake served on top of black beans and corn, not much crabmeat in the crab cake and he had the salmon for his entree, which was also a bit bland, nice presentation.
