nice decor, poor food, poor service

what is a restaurant if all it has is the atmosphere? the food was less than mediocre: i ordered a sushi boat and the fish was not very fresh. the miso soup taste like msg soup, and the fried dumplings taste worse than $2 chinatown dumplings. on top of that, the service was bad. stay away from this place if you want to actually enjoy your evening

    Sushi was good

The sushi was great - I'm giving atmosphere a 4 because even though we made a reservation, we were stuck at a table right by the window, which was FREEZING, and didn't feel like we were really in the restaurant. From what we could see, the decor looked nice. Service was a problem, we didn't even see our server for a good 30 minutes and had to get up to ask for more wine.

    Great Place to Get Away

For being in the middle of Boston once you walk into this place you don't feel like Boston is so close anymore...It truly takes you away to a far off world. The food...GREAT...the service...GREAT...the atmosphere is the BEST...from the music of the buddah-Bar series to the foutains, bamboo and lighting...it doesn't get better!

    Wow

I've been a regular there since almost day one. This place has been improving and improving. Everytime I'm in there, there's always something new. Last summer they just added the patio. Now the water fountain... lots of new delish items on the new menu. My favorite still is the Spicy Chicken (which is their much-better version of General Gau's Chicken) and the Volcano sushi dish (which is seafood baked with some sort of creamy sauce poured on top of a California roll). Absolutely a cozy place to be with almost anyone.

    Chosen on a whim..

Chose this place on a whim - not bad, has some interesting sushi rolls. Had grilled lemongrass chicken - tasty, but a bit plain. Very attentive staff, nice atmosphere - would be good for a date. I would probably go again.

    Nice place

Food and service were memorable. Decent place to be with a friend or with a date. Recommended.
