This is the best ice cream, bar none
In a city known for the best ice cream in the country, Toscanini's takes the crown. BURNT CARAMEL is one of the best flavors this world has known. It's unique to Tosci's and is NOT to be missed.

What more could you want?
Tosci's is a great place for a once in awhile ice cream treat. The flavors are a combination of traditional (vanilla, hydrox cookie) to fun (grasshopper cookie, 5 or so flavors of chocolate) to strange (grapenut, earl grey, etc). There is also a great selection of coffee, tea, and baked goods. I prefer this location to the one in harvard square since there is a) a bathroom b) it's clean c) tons of space to sit around inside d) you can watch ice cream get made from the street. The people who work there range from surly to chatty. One guy is unbashfully self-promotional of his music cd sold at the cash register. Awesome. Be sure to try cake batter--it's my favorite!
