This place has great food! Everytime I have friends or family in town I take them here. The service is either great or horrible, I have had both. The atmosphere is nice as well!

I love this bar! A ton of fun, and a step above other local options. The lower marks are no reflection on the bar/service staff...the doorman has been exceedingly rude on a few occasions with no ascertainable reason. On one occasion, he told me the bar was "closed" when it was clearly not at 12:30. It was the night of my girlfriend's college graduation, and we took a cab from downtown just to visit this establishment. His refusal of entry was a sad disappointment. Don't let this discourage you, however. The Mission is a class act all the way, with a delicious menu option and a broad beer menu available!

Like the previous review said, the design of the Mission is great high ceilings and a beautiful wood interior that leaves space for a large bar and a seating area. We came on a weeknight for drinks (the place was mostly filled with an after work crowd from the Longwood area) and got great service at the bar. There aren’t a lot of other places in the area that are casual while preserving an upscale vibe so the Mission is definitely worth checking out! Drinks were great and the menu much more ‘gourmet’ than the usual bar food--but still affordable.

This new bar is amazing. Michael has out done himself with this beautiful dark hardwood bar and massive mirrors behind a well-stocked bar. In addition to the 90 some odd different beers he has, the open windows in the summertime add an excellent twist on the environment. I don't even make it down there every week but the bartenders and waitresses remember my drink order each time I go in. An excellent place for a drink out with a date, or just somewhere to stop for a beer on the way home.
