Hit or Miss
Been to the Living Room a number of times. Definitely not a foodie's dream, but not bad if you're just looking to grab a bite while you drink. Great patio during the summer with a decent crowd, considering its proximity to the frat party Irish pubs in Fanuiel Hall. The martini list is impressive, but the drinks are inconsistent. When well poured, most are worth the inflated price, but I've been forced to send more than a few back. Beware the slow service at brunch, although it's bearable if you get a seat on a couch.

Every man's dream.
The Living Room seemed like any trendy "newish" spot in any big city...high on style and high on attitude. To my surprise, the staff and patrons were all very laid back and welcoming. The staff was unnaturally attractive, and they served amazing drinks on the plush couches. Our cocktail waitress was personable, knowledgable, and spunky, and very easy on the eyes. She interacted very well with the women in our party, which is rare at some places. Overall, the food, though a little salty, was a trendy, continental mix of various comfort foods. The southwest chicken taquitos, though messy were a great appetizer, and the petit fillets, prepared in four different ways, were also a treat. Even though parking is terrible, there is a valet. I highly recommend the Living Room for dinner, drinks, or both.
