Indeed a place to remain HUNGRY
The service was the best part of our power lunch visit to the Hungry I. Even this was spoiled by the waiter's request to pay cash instead of charging a credit card. The worst part was the food that was bland, cold and not fresh as if they kept it refrigerated from the night before. Now, I'm thinking that indeed, this is a reason why they started serving lunches - they could use leftovers from a night before dinner... The Borsch was mediocre, the bread was stale. The Entrée was tasteless, ill-presented, worse than in a very cheap student canteen. Plain, cold, insipid. I was embarrassed in front of my business partner - the restaurant was described as a French 4 start place, but it appeared to be chagrin.

Brunch is great!
We just moved into the neighborhood and had brunch here the other day. What a wonderful place! The atmosphere was so adorable/cozy, with a fire going in the fireplace and the owner (?)'s dog Venus laying in front of it--couldn't have been more welcoming. As soon as we walked in, we were offered mimosas and that set us in the perfect mood. The food was really wonderful--I had the omelet w/ brie, toast croutons and caramelized onions--totally delish and my husband had the french toast which he loved. Coffee was good too! We will definitely be going back for our Sat./Sun. morning brunch there.
