We walked right in for lunch. everything was excellent - fish and chips, scallops and shrimp in wine sauce and best of all, the puttanesca. The line was quite long when we left - on a very cold day

I didnt spect too much about this restaurant (from the out side) had to wait for 10 mins in the middle of the winter... but once u were inside... my point of view totally change, 1 chef, 1 waiter, 1 dishwasher... They serv u straight in the pan they cooked... hmm really smell so good and the past i had.. was simple awesome ! so much flavor in it. The garlic bread... the best i ever had ! dont get angry about the plastics cups.. its part of the enviroment! I love this place.. and highly recomend !! Next time i go to boston definetly ill go back ! one of the best memories of the town!

I had been here many years ago and stopped by the North End location with my family around 530 on a Sunday. There was already a line. Good blend of Italian and Seafood. Great red sauce. As noted in other reviews there is one Chef, one waiter, and dishwasher - about room for 20 people. Definitely adds to the character and the experience. Highly recommended for those looking for a different and casual experience with great food.

From the outside (and partly from the inside) you wouldnt expect much from this place. The menu is on a chalkboard on the wall and there is no kitchen.. just a medium sized room with a cook, waiter, and dishwasher. Let me tell you.. I havent had food this good in some time. They serve it to you in the pan they cooked it in and it is fabulous. The aromas of the meals being prepared along with some pretty decent Italian beer makes this a place I will definitely go back to on my next visit to Boston. Bring your appetite and cash because they dont take check or credit cards.

The only number under a 5 is a 4.5 for service because there are I believe only 3-4 people in the entire restaurant. the great thing is nothing happens hers that you do not see whether it is the one waitress or the cook cooking 10 feet away. This guy has done amazing wonders. It is liek the Noname 25 years ago when it was a great find. Just don't go there when I am because it is getting crowded.

No credit cards, wine in a plastic cup... patrons, cook, dishwasher all in the same room! The food here is AWESOME! There is almost ALWAYS a line of people outside waiting to get in. Don't miss this on your next trip to Boston!
