Yummy Curry
Visited Thai Basil this past week while on vacation. This place was busy during lunch. The service needs some work as we waited 10 minutes for our drinks. The jasmine tea was worth the wait. We ordered a combination speical that came with spring rolls and pork dumpling, because the tables are so close together, the people next to us received the food. Our waitress did notice and corrected the issue. The food was out in a timely manner and very yummy. I would recommend the yellow curry and the spring rolls!

Avergage
This is a totally average, forgettable spot. fine for midday lunch/break from work when uninspiring service and food is acceptable. Reasonably priced.

Pad Thai
I have only eaten inside once and was pleasantly surprised by how good the food but everything pales in comparison with the pad thai. Absolutely delicious, highly recommend it, I get it for take-out once a month.

Blah, Boring Thai Food
If you are a fan of Thai food, as I am, then you will be sorely disappointed. Their food tastes more Chinese, than Thai as another reviewer pointed out. It's no better than a neighborhood take out joint. It's, however, good value for the money - the atmosphere is clean and casual, they offer generous portions and they still remain one of the most affordable eateries on Newbury Street.

Takeout
I go there for takeout and their Pad Thai is great, but doesn't have a lot of shrimp. However, for less than 7.00 it's worth it. Once the woman forgot to give me my change and then gave me a little bit of a hard time when I asked for it, and then later on forgot I had paid when I came back to pick it up, so she tried to charge me twice for it. I think this was an anomaly though, I still go back, and they're very nice otherwise.
