Little slice of Mexico!
They rock simply the best Mole sauce in town. The velvety sauce reflects the deep flavors and complexities I expect from this slow cooked flavorful delight. I order it smothering pork chops or chicken. Their salsas are phenomenal. I have ordered tacos as well as the special plates and just love the food. After living on Mexican food all over LA, I can tell you this is as good as it gets. The decor is pretty neat as Pepe one of the owners is a Mariachi from Guadalahara. I've heard the band play and they are sensational. I am a white Jewish guy, but if I was getting married again, I would have them play at my wedding. And, the service is so personal since they are the nicest people. If you go I might see you there as I can't get enough.

Not so great
I don't understand the hype. We went with some friends and the food wasn't that great. It was pretty bland and average. I can't really rate atmosphere, it's also nothing special. The value is alright depending on what you get, I was happy with what I paid for my tacos, but I would never have paid as much as some of my friends did for their sad combination plates. Yes, the women who owns/ runs the place is very nice, but not very attentive. She'll chat for a bit but once your food comes don't expect to see her again. Overall, I only come back when I get outvoted by my friends.
