Wow!
We had heard the interior design of Strega Waterfront was like no other in Boston, but we took that statement with a grain of salt, until we arrived. My husband and I decided to treat ourselves and go out last Saturday and we had made reservations at Strega Waterfront earlier that week. Upon entering the restaurant I was taken aback by the dark brown, elegant Italian decor. Once being there for longer than 10 minutes it no longer felt like we were just in the Seaport, which is mostly construction. I ordered a cocktail, I forget the name but it is on their special menu and not only did it come promptly, but it looked phenomenal topped with a large slice of fruit. For an appetizer, we ordered the Rollatini and I had a La Strega Salad. The vegetables were fresh and the rollatini was plentiful. It was a little bit of a wait for our food, but on a Saturday evening we expected nothing less especially for the large crowd they draw in. My husband ordered the Surf and Turf special which comes with a large stuff lobster tail that I don't even think you could find at a seafood restaurant. Appearance of the food was just WOW! I had the Fettuccine Strega which has shrimp, and scallops in a creamy sauce. I'm normally one to go with a red sauce but was far from disappointed with this order. Our server knew the answers to everything and it almost felt as if we were in his home. Everyone was so welcoming and the overall experience was amazing. After leaving our table we stayed for more drinks. I highly recommend Strega in the Seaport not just for the service and food but the atmosphere!

Food that wouldn't be served in Italy
The food is not Italian or decent Italian-American.Over sauced extremely expensive pasta dishes, tough veal and bad fish dish preparation. Restaurant wouldn't last in a US city like NY or San Fransisco . Definitely don't eat there there're so many good Italian restaurants in Boston
