    Expecting more

I was expecting more from this restaurant. I had been to the bar a couple times before and tried their thin crust pizza which was very good but had not dined there until recently. I ordered the mussels appetizer which was pretty good for my date and I to share. They were out of the shell. My main course, the 14oz ribeye steak was horrible. There was so much fat all over it. I had like two bites. I ended up eating the swordfish my date ordered. The steak looked like a piece of meat you get at a discount market. They didnt charge me for the steak which was nice. Should have had the pasta. No specials that night either. Maybe this place deserves a second chance. I made an 8 oclock reservation but that didnt include their outdoor area which had a two hour waiting list. Please, dont you people know who i am.

    Subpar Food & Service

BLAH! That's all I can say about Stella! The food was ehhh, but not worth the money. The atmosphere was good, great place to hang out with a friend if all you are ordering is a drink, because the food will make you want to stick a finger down your throat. I thought the service was rude. The hostess was nice, but the waitstaff and the chef (I think) that came to our table were very rude. I made a comment that my dish was cold when I was asked, and you would have though I shot this guy's grandmother he got so upset at me. But, my food was cold! (and not that good). They were all worried about about being a politician more than making and serving good food in a timely manner. From what I can tell, a lot of fake people there. The food also tasted like it was frozen and just re-heated. That's not what I expect for almost $30/plate or so. It just wasn't a good experience. It's one thing to put on a fake show when the critics are there (I read some really good reviews), but it's another to treat the everyday Joe's the way you treat the food critics. Their facade fooled me, but it won't again. My advice ... stay away. I would never give that place my money and business ever again, not the way I was treated. THUMBS DOWN!

    Not bad

Stella is a great place to have dinner or just to meet friends for drinks. The atmosphere is intimate, which is nice as long as the bartenders don't hit on you. But, other than that, this is a fine restaurant.
