Spice in Harvard Square
Spice has simply the best red curry I've ever had in my life. I can't say enough about it. Red curry is my normal first order at Thai restaurants, and how I judge whether they're worth a second visit. The drunken noodles and pad thai are quite good, though not the best ever, and I've never felt a need to branch out further. I think the portions are fine- I'm usually slightly too full if I finish the entire lunch serving, and some of my female co-workers split it into two and eat the other half the next day. But I imagine a big guy would want more for lunch than I do- if you're looking for more value in an Asian meal, cross the street and get the pho at Le's. I find the ambience, especially at lunch time, a little cafeteria-like and it's cold enough to need a sweater, but it's always full so there's a nice bustle. Dinner is more relaxed and somehow the place seems fancier- maybe because you're not packed in quite as tightly, or it's just a different crowd.

Perfect for Lunch Time Take Out
I think the portions are just fine, and reading the review above I would think it was written by a guy I know who gets two dishes every time he goes to Spice. The food is great, greasy and delicious, it's fast, and when you're in the mood for greasy Thai food, nothing in the square compares. I probably eat there too much.

Great food... shrinking portions.
I've been to Spice 3 times for lunch in the last 6 months. The food is excellent, served promptly on colorful dishes. Unfortunately the portions have gotten smaller on each visit back, to the point of not being remotely filling. The prices are very modest... but I would have preferred paying more so I could at least go back to work full. With so many food choices in Harvard Square, including some excellent buffets, I will probably not be returning to Spice
