Neighborhood gem
creative, accomplished dishes, warm service, comfortable somewhat upscale surroundings, excellent wine selections and value. A great meal and deal. I did not find the"issues" mentioned in another review and hence choose to review which I rarely bother to.

Great New England feel - poor service.
Ambiance is nice and cozy although the acoustics downstairs are very poor. Also, the service was less than acceptable the last time I dined at here. We had 4 or 5 different servers helping our table who proceeded to mess up our orders, take more than 30 minutes to bring our drinks, and ignored us the majority of the evening. The food, however, is excellent. My favorites include the fries, mussels, and poached pear. If this restaurant can improve its service - it would be one of my favorite restaurants in Boston.

Idenity Crisis
This use to be a local must. It was a great corner coffee / pastry / eatery everyone loved it and always busy. Then they expanded and opened a restaurant. The food is bland. Shocking for a place who use to make such tasty food. The prices are fair but I think they need to go back to the drawing table and find a new chef to revive this one!
