This is one of few places in Boston that reminds me a little of the Village in New York. It is a neat little place with solid food, a tad on the high side, but not stinking over priced like some other places. I really love their mac and cheese, it's that good and they serve it with a salad. The atmosphere is arty, rear lit photography, cozy booths, and the waiters and waitresses are pretty on top of things. I've had a few of the entrees, a little ont he portion control side fellas, but everything tastes great. The hours of operation are a little erratic, but on Bromfield street there is nothing that approaches this coolness. First date with an artistic, intelligent woman- want to show her who is the guy, this is the place!

Definitely go here if you are looking for an inexpensive but satisfying meal. Great mac & cheese, sandwiches and steak tips. Silvertone's also has good cocktails. But be prepared to wait, this place is hopping for lunch and after work.
