Very good food, very poor service
Manager very unprofessional. We waited about 10 minutes for our server to ask us if we would like a drink, we had to ask for bread to be brought to our tables, we were told that 4 items from a limited menu, were sold out. Overall service was poor. Food was very good.

as good as the concept.
Many restaurants these days pull off a solid concept, but don't deliver on the food. Sibling rivalry accomplishes quality in both concept and food. I went for restaurant week with a friend. We chose: -the mussels in curry (fine, but mild in flavor) -the tuna tartare (delicious. get this one.) -swordfish with heirloom tomatoes (favorite of the night) -scallops w/ black beans (everything i wanted in an entree...a solid dish) -panna cotta (light & airy, but nothing special) -blueberry bread pudding (very good...worth ordering) All in all, I was super happy that I finally got to try this restaurant, and can't wait to go back...

Always a welcome spot!
My husband and I always make it a point when we are going to the Calderwood Theater to start our evening at the Chef's bar! Chef David has a magical touch with fresh produce (recently ravioli w/ english peas, fava beans in a heavenly sauce) and the starter bread basket with the freshly made Irish soda bread just says 'welcome'.The bar offerings are great and all the juices ( I had a Pamplemousse) are freshly squeezed! We usually stick with the appetizers and always save room for dessert!

Great food!
I went here with my Dad for a celebration dinner. We arrived early for our seats and had a drink at the bar. It was a great drink and I like the atmosphere of the barthe Red Sox were on, but it was not a sports bar. Then we went to sit down. The room decor is a little 90s for my taste, but the waitress was really nice. We ordered wonderful wine from the wine selection, which was huge, some great entrees (which were perfectly sized, not the usual huge portion) and loved them. The halibut and the steak. Both were wonderfully seasoned with great accompanying veggies. We ordered the zuchinni side, and it was a little too fried for my tastes. The bread that they bring out at the beginning was stellar! Then, as it was a birthday, we got cake! My dad, who never eats sweets, was won over. All in all, a great experience. We spent a little time without a drink at dinner and a little time waiting beyond our reservation, but the staff was friendly and helpful beyond that. Great experience!

Expensive jeans and SUVs
If you are not wearing very expensive jeans and driving up to the valet parking in an SUV, get ready for some eye rolling. The food was interesting, but the staff snobby, the decor a bit chilly, and the prices extreme (check out the a la carte menu, and be prepared to really PAY for those mashed potatoes and string beans)!

Great food, loud atmosphere!
The food was great, the wait staff very professional. Had to wait about ten minutes to get a drink at the lounge, the bartenders were not very responsive and seem fixated on a couple of clients.

Exciting menu
Delicious food, very inventive menu! Had trouble picking out just one thing. Waitstaff and bartenders were fabulous, the hostessess however were rude and condescending.
