    Obnoxious service

As excited as I was to dine here, I was thoroughly dissapointed. The dishes I got were tasty, they were just swimming in a pool of butter. The service was slow and the server was uninformed about the food as he could not answer the questions I had on my dish. Unless you are trying to fatten yourself up I would stay away from this place as there are far better options in the city.

    Nice time

Overall I had a nice time here. The atmosphere is great, as was the service. The staff are very friendly for Boston. The food was good, pricy but not unreasonable. Would definitely go again.

    A confused menu

The service was ok, food was not bad but not great either. The menu seems confusing.. not sure what the owner is aiming for.

    Every Bite was Extremely Tasty

prosciutto with mozzarella and figs - beautiful dish. There was enough prosciutto and mozzarella but they skimped on the fig. The dressing was delicious. spaghetti carbonara with fresh peas - not too heavy and very flavorful mouth watering dessert with strawberry rhubarb sorbet cosmopolitans were perfect

    Don't waste your money

7.4.2008 This was without doubt one of the worst dining experience my husband and I have ever had in terms of food and service. The carbonara was salty and swimming in what seemed like 2% milk. The cod was also salty and had an unpleasant fishy taste. The wine pours were on the meager side of what one would expect.

    Less than expected

I've been to this place twice. Once the first week it opened and then again a week ago. The breads/appetizers and side dishes are unique and very tasty. Beyond that I'd say the menu is ok... I love the ambiance of the place- being essentially inside or appended to the old Charles Street jail. But from here the experience becomes disappointing. It's very noisy and while the staff is pleasant, service is slow, making the noise factor sort of worse since it is the one thing you notice alot while you are not eating and drinking. Very pricey for an experience that was ok on the food side and less than a great experience otherwise. There is an outdoor dining option and my guess is you'd do better there than inside if you are looking for a place where you can actually converse with your dining partner during the busy dinner hour
