Authentic Alsatian cuisine in Boston !!!
What a great bistro. Chef Ost is the real deal. The flammekueche (Alsatian tart) is out of this world. I haven't had real flammekueche outside of Strasbourg. For those of you not familiar with Alsatian cuisine - a "flammekueche" is sort of like a pizza with caramelized onions, smoked lardons (bacon), and creme fraiche. Wow! With that combination, how can you go wrong? The "crust" is paper-thin and super crispy. Mouth-watering! Chef Ost's foie gras terrine is also spectacular. I'm already planning my next trip to Harvard Sq. just to have the flammekueche. :D
