Dinner with wife
Finally got a chance to break away from the kids and have dinner with my wife in the city last Saturday. Villa Francesca was terrific. Very crowded on Saturday. Had a 7:30 reservation but didnt' get seated until 8PM. I was a bit apprehensive at first based on the size of the crowd but the seated us at a lovely table by the window and the food was terrific. Other reviews have commented on poor service but we found the service acceptable. The food and atmosphere were the highlights. We enjoyed the calamari and clam appetizers. I forget what my wife had but I had the special lobster fri diablo and really enjoyed it. I have been to Bricco and Fiore and a host of other establishments (mostly for business) but for date night with your spouse I honestly fond Villa Crancesca to be more enjoyable. If you are looking for a comfortable / cozy place with high quality food and vibrant atmoshere I highly recommend Villa Francesca.

dinner time
I have eaten here on serveral occasions,..enjoy the food,..but the service at times has been terrible. Last visit we were a party of 8 and that just got the waitress flustered and she forgot one meal,..and brought out the rest one at a time..some people had their meals while others watched...As for me,..I was the one she forgot....

Almost perfect
This place was great, aweosme atmosphere, except when they left the window open and it was like 50 degrees outside. Food is excellent though, needs a little work on the service, but other than that its almost perfect, defintly a place you should try, the food is spectacular and they also have a pretty good wine [select]ion.

Better Italian Than Italy
I did not expect anything as wonderful as my experiance at Villa Francesca from the hostess ,waiter ,food unbelievable best veal and fish as well.the wine list should be in wine spectators mag.,the cannoli made fresh at table side.The staff all were very friendly and made my group of 6 comfortable .Everyone in Boston are lucky to have them there,I would love to have them in NY.
