ONly good for the Thick Cut Prime rib
The service is just not there at Plaza III. Honestly...I am a regular and I have found the service to be unattentive. I would only recommend going to Plaza III for the think cut prime. It is truly the best cut and prepared prime rib in the city. All of their other cuts like the strip are unimpressive. Trust me, the Thick Cut prime rib is the best of its kind in the city.

Don't be fooled-this can't be Plaza 3!
I took a customer for a drink that turned into a dinner at the bar before a Bruins game. I was embarrassed by quality of the food and the lack of items that appeared on the menu but were unavailble. My customer wanted a lobster - "we don't have lobster". You are kidding, right? A high end restaurant in Boston that doesnt have lobster? Unacceptable. Then I ordered swordfish. "We don't have it". Everything was bland and the meat was either over cooked or under cooked. Not one meal was prepared right. The bar was tired and the place was empty. It was more like a greek diner than a high end steak house. Stay away. Over priced and very disapointing.

Not recommended for business lunches
I have been to Plaza III twice in the past week for business lunches and have been seriously unimpressed by a place that claims to be "one of the top 10 steakhouses in America." The first time I went, I ordered the filet cooked medium rare, and one of my dining companions ordered a sliced steak salad cooked "as rare as possible." When our dishes came out, neither had even a hint of pink in the middle. The second time I went, I knew better than to order a steak and so had the char-grilled Atlantic salmon. I have to say, it was tasty, and it did arrive medium rare as I had requested. However, the service was inattentive at best, especially given that the restaurant was not busy. Additionally, two of my dining companions also ordered the salmon and neglected to specify how they wanted it cooked, and they said it was bland and tasteless. Another companion had to dump salt all over her steak tips with pasta just to give it some taste. Overall, the restaurant seems overpriced for what you get and not the best choice in the Faneuil Hall area.
