Nice job with the meats, but not a great experience overall. The datiles had too much bacon grease, and my partner's grilled corn pocket w/cheese was just weird and bland. Atmosphere has promise but it's too cramped. Worst of all was the service. Overly attentive in all the wrong ways - our server basically stood there and read the entire menu to us because we made the mistake of asking one little question. And she kept asking if we were ready to order, when we were clearly taking our time w/drinks and appetizers first. But then we had to ask for water refills and for things to be cleared off the table, and I could never make eye contact with her (in a very small room) to order another round of drinks. ~ ~ ~ One last thing - do not believe the Globe review of the flan. That's the worst flan I have ever had, anywhere. And the "espresso" was the color of strong tea and tasted like Maxwell House.
