Some of the dishes are great. The hanger steak is great but not on the menu these days. The fish is very good but the signature arepas are not worth the calories. They taste like corn dogs. It is a nice addition to our neighborhood and has a good atmosphere although it can get very loud I think that is what they are going for, so if you don't like loud go early you will also have a better chance of getting seated.

The variety of Latin foods is wonderful and the quality very good. Been there twice and was bothered (more the second time than the first) by the very close proximity of tables to each other. You hear your neighbors' conversations, the music is too loud so voices get louder, and on some evenings folks crowd in around the bar two or three deep, uncomfortably close to where diners are trying to enjoy a meal. This is ok in a pub, but not when we paid $80 and expected a quiet, unique, comfortable meal where we could hear each other talk.

Nice job with the meats, but not a great experience overall. The datiles had too much bacon grease, and my partner's grilled corn pocket w/cheese was just weird and bland. Atmosphere has promise but it's too cramped. Worst of all was the service. Overly attentive in all the wrong ways - our server basically stood there and read the entire menu to us because we made the mistake of asking one little question. And she kept asking if we were ready to order, when we were clearly taking our time w/drinks and appetizers first. But then we had to ask for water refills and for things to be cleared off the table, and I could never make eye contact with her (in a very small room) to order another round of drinks. ~ ~ ~ One last thing - do not believe the Globe review of the flan. That's the worst flan I have ever had, anywhere. And the "espresso" was the color of strong tea and tasted like Maxwell House.
