Bravo! It is nice to finally have a place reminiscent of Istanbul! Most people only know street vendor doner, small cafes, and family style restaurants. They consider this the standard, but it is far from the mystique which Europe craved and tried to replicate... ("a La Turka" ) Due to the current political climate it is unsatisfactory to mention the Ottoman Empire. Leaving politics aside, it is irrefutable what impact this Empire had on other countries and also the impact other countries had on the Ottoman Empire. Oleana did a very good job incorporating the cuisine which has been apart of the lives of people in the Eastern Mediterranean for centuries. This food is what is consumed during celebrations, festivals, and times of good memories. It is my hope that people will go there and not just eat the food, but also respect where it came from and also what good memories it can help to create!!!

Oleana is unique in atmosphere and cuisine and this restaurant is absolutely worth checking out. The dishes are creative and captivating. During warm months there is a pleasant garden out back and the indoor dining room is a treat as well. Boston could use more restaurants like this. Full disclosure: the word is out and waits can be a bit long. Make a reservation or plan on having a drink before being seated.

By far the best pastry dough I have ever tasted. I had the pork and apple empanada and it was delicious. I highly recomend this dish to anyone who likes pastry dishes.

A twist on Turkish food that is so trendy you can't tell its Turkish!! The menu is so inviting you can't decide what to order. Even if the presentation can be fussy, the food is great and imaginative, Not your mother's turkish food!! And they stay open late!!

A fantastic restaurant with unique and wonderful food. Definitely one to come back to.
