    Unbelievable sushi

But it costs! Definitely a great restaurant for special occasions. Excellent menu - best I've had in Boston. Good, romantic atmosphere. Can be tricky to find as there isn't a good sign on Washington St.

    kind of a rip off

I only had the sushi and some of the appetizers, but I found this place way overpriced. $25 for a sushi roll?

    Not so great

I tried out Oishii during restaurant week. I was disappointed that the menu they had on the restaurant week website was different from the one at the restaurant. They replaced the spicy tunu arugula salad with miso soup and fried shumai with green salad. I got the chicken teriyaki and it was overcooked. The service was okay. Hopefully other days their services and food quality are better.

    Blech

I am still not sure why Oishii gets such rave reviews. The atmosphere was dark and ominous, and the sushi was disappointing. Very small portions, poorly wrapped rolls (falling apart all over the plates), and super expensive! The server was inattentive and had to leave several times to find answers to our (basic) questions about the menu. Maybe I had an unusal experience?

    Best Sushi in New England

This place is absolutely amazing. Hard to get a reservation but they have a nice sushi bar and it can be fun to sit and watch the, artists work. Serriously I have eaten lots of sushi all over and aside from Nobu this is the freshest, best tasting sushi I have ever had. Absolutely amazing. It is worth the high price. The minimalist decor is nice. Zagat gave this place a 28 and they were correct. If you are a serrious sushi lover you must eat here.
