A Hidden Gem
The service was attentive. There are $5 appetizers on the bar menu, including a 3 mini corn dog bites that I really enjoyed. Scallops with root vegetables were savory. Free refills with sodas. You can spend a lot of money or just order two bar bites. The bread basket was excellent. I will definitely come back here.

unpleasant
We tried out North 26 for Restaurant Week. In restrospect, we should have been concerned before we got there. We walked through Faneuil Hall, past Ames, Kingfish and McCormick's, all of which were crowded, and got to North 26 which was almost empty. The calamari app was particularly good. Our server was attentive. The problem was the entree. My wife ordered the steak medium rare.It came out and was totally well done. She sent it back and asked for medium rare. The manager and another member of the staff came by very and were apologetic.A new steak came out and was way overcooked again. She complained again and the manager glared at her. Excuse me? We ended up leaving. There are way too many good places in Boston to put up with this place.

our pick for Restaurant Week
My boyfriend and I went to North 26 for Restaurant Week and would highly recommend it to anyone. He had the goat cheese tart and the duck while I had the micro fish and chips with the pork wrapped in bacon. The food was amazing including the desserts. The service was wonderful and I would definately go there again.

Wow! What a great breakfast!
We stayed in Boston's financial district and there are not a lot of sit down breakfast restaurants. We walked around and noticed outside seating at North 26 close to Quincy Market. It's not cheap, but it's worth every penny. I had the best coffee, fresh squeezed OJ, homemade english muffins (!), the best gourmet red flannel hash I've ever had...with a poached egg like I've never seen before either and I'm very fussy. For restaurant food to get a 5 star rating from me it has to be better than I can do at home. This was better! Enjoy...
