Put this one on your list for sure....
Space is small and accomodations are tight...so claustrophobics should think twice, but everyone in our party of six enjoyed the intimate atmosphere. Waitstaff is fantastic...a great attitude and made the evening fun for all. Food is just excellent all the way around. We will absolutely go again. And soon. I highly recommend.

awesome
By far Nico is the best in the North End. And the service was awesome. Moreno was a great waiter... We will head back to Nico in the spring.

No desserts on Saturday! (but yummy food)
Found this restaurant while hunting for an Italian restaurant serving tiramisu for dessert during the week. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious (including the tiramisu). The same week, we went on a Saturday, got the same waiter who recognized us and was very friendly, but when came dessert time, we were informed that they didn't serve them on Saturdays (or maybe it was a Sunday...) Anyway, the waiter saved the day (well, at least mine) and gave us tiramisus to go (in real dishes, not plastic cups!). Now, I'm not saying they do this for everyone, but it's just to say the service is amazing. So, if you want to eat there, I highly recommend you go on a weekday as it is less crowded and you'll get to eat a tiramisu.

Unpleasant experience
With reservations we were seated right by the restroom anf was verry tight space and the wait staff needed to get by constantly. Then a glass(es) were droped on the steps and it started raining glass. The food was good but the setting definitely ruined the evening with my family.

Best on Hanover!!!
After going to Nico's a number of times I have to say it is a gem in the North End. The menu is traditional with a "twist". No boring choices here. The service is the friendliest you will find and Nick makes you feel like an old friend. The chef "Sal" is a culinary Master ! The disco music begs to be danced too and many people do. Nico's is not just a restaurant, it is experiance not to be missed, boogie on to Nico's. You will not be disapointed.
