Latin American franchise-type restaurant
We went to Naked Fish last night hoping to find good Cuban food with a nice atmosphere. It didn't really thrill me to see it was a franchise type of restaurant. The atmosphere was OK. Like I said it seemed like more of a commercial restaurant that you'd either bring your kids to or that you'd bring your buddies to for drinks. The food wasn't expensive, but it wasn't cheap and the quality of the food wasn't very high. Appetizers were decently priced. They're generally a little less than 10 each. The coconut calamari was very good, pretty much the only thing I liked, while the beef empanadas reminded me more of jamaican beef patties. We also had pan-seared scallops, which were ok. The entrees are generally from 18 to 27 dollars, so they can be moderately expensive but not too bad. But everything seemed to be lacking in flavor and seemed to be a little dry. The fish was dry, the mahi mahi was very rough and dry, even the maduros were a little bit. The mojo steak tips were lacking mojo, and everything else was just sub-par. Oh, and the rice and black beans came with brown beans... hmm. I know that I'm not going back there. It was overpriced and it just was not good food.

Fun & Tasty
Great place if you're looking for a little extra spice in your seafood. The prices are better than Legal Seafood, the food is great, and the price is right. Fun cuban cocktails and a fun atmosphere too.
