Eat steak, eat a big ole' steak

Great steakhouse. Business casual, so dress nice but you can leave the tie off. Get the fillet mignon, the macaroni & cheese with lobster, the potato & leek chowder, and the Yukon Gold potatoes, mashed and whipped to a creamy deliciousness. Wait staff is attentive and fast, food was terrific, and the atmosphere was classy without being pompous and elegant without being snobby. I'd go back in a heartbeat and eat lots more steak and drink a whole bunch more wine. Go. Say Mooo....

    Mooos

Came in with big hype. Food was adaquete-had the sirloin (although I'm a ribeye fan), colleague of mine had the ribeye which actually had less taste. The service wasn't impressive: waiter took forever to get drinks, didn't give a sincere thank you for a $500+ bill, and looked confused at times. I've been to some of the best (Lugers, Smith & Wo's, Gibsons, Abe & Louies, Morts, Flems, etc), this isn't in the same conference, yet league. If your from Beantown, and want to change it up, sure why not, if not, noooo way if you like the classic, traditional masculine-man's steak joint!

    Perhaps not The Best Steak

I was expecting great things from Moo having read rave reviews. Starters of Nantucket scallops were faultless. Service was attentive and the wine selection is good. The anticipated “star of the show” was however was a disaster. Perhaps the grill chef was out sick, but we were very disappointed. A sure give-away that something was up was that as soon as the entrees arrived, we were all advised to “cut through the middle, that’s the part that is cooked properly". I would expect a good chef can grill a piece of meat evenly (apart from the obvious edges which may be slightly more browned). If not, he is either buying badly butchered meat or doesn't know how to do his job!. My partner and I ordered 30 day aged rib eye prepared Medium. It arrived in the form of a completely blackened char-grilled, overcooked and very dry sirloin. We didn't want to offend our host by complaining so kept mumm. Our host on the other hand ordered rare filet mignon. It arrived and one could immediately tell it was overcooked. It was tough to the touch and sure enough when he cut into it, it was only slightly pink in the very middle. No juices on the plate either after cutting. The filet was returned only to be followed by a 2nd edition which was more spongy to the feel but cold on the inside. A rare done steak should be warm through the middle, lightly charred on the outside, browned around the sides and bright red in the middle. The meat should be soft to the touch, feeling like the raw meat but browned over the surface. Note to the chef: Steak 101 - cook meat from room temperature. 3rd time lucky? Unfortunately not. All-in-all, a shame that after a positive start, the steak was such a let-down. And after all that, rather than trying to compensate for what was meant to be a celebratory dinner, the restaurant instead sneaked an additional $100 onto the bill! Diners beware!

    Best steak ever!!!

My husband and I visited Moo for our anniversary this year. I have to say this was the very best steak I have ever had. I can't rave enough about it. Everything was amazing, they make you feel like a celebrity, so in tune to your needs without even having to ask for anything, The food was sooooo good highley recommend this place for sure - perfect place for date night...or any night. Have to try the Bordelaise sauce with the Filet Mignon... so good. My husband got the Grilled Colorado Lamb Chops and he loved it, perfect temp... just excellent. the Steamed Asparagus with hollandaise... delish!! we did also order the potatoe gratin but never got to try it too full from everything else Paired my steak with the Honig Cabernet Sauvignon recommened by my waiter...who was such a sweetheart he brought out chocolate truffles and the plate read Happy Anniversary in chocolate sauce... Moo is perfection for the steakhouse dining experience. Looking forward to many trips back!

    Felt like a guest

Finally made it to Mooo, and was more than pleased with everything. From the valet to the hostess and especially our waiter, I felt like a guest at Moo0 and not just a customer. Many steak houses, and you know who they are, act like they are doing you a favor letting you in the door. On recommendations we ordered the Kolbi beef dumplings which lived up to their reputation. Our sirloin steaks were done perfectly and the sides, especially the yukon gold mashed were delicious. I will be returning to MOOO with my steakhouse dollars many times over.

    umm steak frittes

whoever wrote the post about the steak frites has no idea what they're talking about. That big flat steak is called a skirt steak, and that's what traditional steak frites is served with. You are not supposed to get a sirloin or ribeye with steak frites, look up some information before posting. Great place.

    Hip and Yummy

I was there last night for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it. There was a little bit of a wait but we didn't have a reservation. We enjoyed a cocktail and a couple of appetizers at a cute little table in the bar while we waited. I had the Beef Wellington and it was great and I just loved the exotic mushrooms. Whoever was disappointed by the steak frittes obviously isn't familiar with what steak frittes is. By the sounds of it, they got just what they ordered and were upset that it didn't taste bad! Order the Wellington next time, I guess. I would definitely go again. PS The decor was enjoyable, too.
