Deli Platter
Stop: don't order that deli plate for your event! I ordered deli for 35 to include Pastrami, Roast Beef, Corned Beef and Turkey. The Roast Beef was too well done and tasteless; there was no pastrami....apparently they thought it was ok to substitute salami. The potato salad and cole slaw was the usual..which most people don't eat anyway. We had to throw away 8 of the rolls because they were stale. AND we did not get the plates or napkins. I gave it two stars because the corned beef was good and the turkey was fine.

Amazing sandwiches
I love this place. The staff is nice and the sandwiches are HUGE. I eat a lot and often don't finish my Reuben. I highly recommend it. The reviewer below was too harsh. It says do not read because they have few tables and don't want people sitting for hours and studying while others want to eat and can't find a table.

Cold atmosphere, pretty good food.
I heard good reviews about Michael's Deli, so I went there once by myself, and the other time with my boyfriend. The first time I went, I didn't know that it was cash only, so I ordered my sandwich and said that I would be right back b/c I needed to get cash out across the street. After I ordered, the employee said something weird, along the lines of, "You're coming back are you? I don't want to start making your sandwich and have you not coming back". I thought, wow, do I look like I won't come back? The second time, I came with my boyfriend. He didn't have enough cash on him, he asked if he could order and then run across the street for some cash. He came back with the cash after a couple of minutes. A different employee said, "I was starting to get worried that you weren't coming back." If they are so worried about their customers ordering and bailing, then they should 1) accept credit cards 2) have an ATM in their deli. Also, while we were waiting for his sandwich, we notice several signs near each table that read, "Do not read at the tables." We left there and both mentioned how cold and uninviting the atmosphere was there. They have pretty good food, but I recommend coming there with cash in your wallet and eating the food elsewhere.
