Great before a game!
We went there before the Celtics game and it was very good. Friendly staff and good food. If you are staying at the Residence Inn it couldn't be any closer!

Great!
Max and Dylan's is the cream of the crop. It's my favorite restaurant in the world. For what you are paying you are making out like a bandit. Their best food by far is their mac and cheese. It's heaven on earth. Their brunch is also spectacular. Delicious scrambled eggs, superb eggs benedict, english muffins toasted to perfection. I've never brought anyone there who didn't love what they got. Their cheesecake is also divine. If you are ever looking for a place to go, casual, fancy, and everywhere in between, Max and Dylan's will never disappoint! Do yourself a favor and go!

Great service.
As a lone Business traveler I was a single as usual. When I arrived hungry , thirsty and weary from the road I found the place packed. the crew went out of their way to make sure that I got a seat and came back multiple times to check that everything was right. The food was good not great but the service was top notch and prices reasonable.

I liked it
I was reading last review before I decided to try this place due to the proximity to my hotel (hyatt) well, I liked it. He said the menu was confusing... well why? it says the sandwich comes with either chips or fries, my server asked me either and I opted for salad which he was happy to do.(and also for the mac and cheese I saw what's listed in option as well) Strong drink, good food, attentive and helpful server... I see myself repeating this place when I stay at Hyatt which I do a lot.

mad diner
Charlestown Restaurant, our server did not know what truffle fries were (if they had oil on the side or fried in it), The menu was not self explanatory. No where on the menu did it say the sandwiches came with fries, we ordered a side and to our surprise, they did, needless to say we had too many fries as our entrees came with fries. So our check was an extra $10. The homemade bun was cold and not toasted. The macaroni and cheese was good but again the menu did not explain that whatever the mac and cheese came with was mixed inside the dish. We eat our 3 to 4 times a week. I don't think this will be a regular stop.

Nice little place you never knew existed
Got a recommendation from a co-worker who has drinks here after work. Stopped in for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Place was empty and we sat at the bar, so we had the very best service. Bar tender friendly and fun. Menu has simple dishes with a lot of flair. Great drink menu. Did not get a good look at the dining area but it looks smalltypical for Boston. Decoration has a lot of charm.

Best sliders in the city!
I made my first visit to Max and Dylan's a few weeks ago. They have delicious and creative sliders - I would highly recommend trying a few of them. The kobe beef sliders and the filet mignon sliders were the highlight. We ate at the bar and had excellent service from the bartender. They have a good wine list and the bar/restaurant atmostphere is nice. I will definitely be back!
