A disappointing evening
We went to Masa on the recommendation of a friend... it was a Monday night (just before New Years) and the dining area was quiet on the other hand, the bar seemed packed, which d a fairly noisy atmosphere, as the patrons tried to talk over the music. Overall, the food was decent - my wife had the lamb enchiladas, which had good flavor but were overcooked, and I had the duck legs, which were a bit dry but flavorful. Our issues were more with the service than the food. They mixed up the ingredients in our drinks - not usually a huge deal, but my wife had the regular margarita and I had a watermelon-habanero one. They used the habanero tequila in her drink, and regular tequila in mine, which gave her the spicy one and me a watermelon slushie. During the meal, service was incredibly slow - we sat for quite a while before ordering, then sat with empty drinks for quite a while... and had to pull the waiter back twice from his hasty retreat in order to order another round. Overall, we felt ignored during our meal, and left dissatisfied - the poor service did not compensate for the fairly decent - not beyond the ordinary - food.

Delicious All Around!
I have now been to Masa 4 times- Drinks, Tapas, Brunch, and Dinner, and all have been fantastic. While it is easy to rack up a big bill here, you wont feel bad about it. The coctails are fantastic especially the Masarita and watermelon habanero. Their food is great, and you can order dollar tapas at the bar, which is a perfect complement to the drinks. The Saturday morning brunch is awesome- just about 8 bucks gets you a 2 course brunch, coffee and delicious bread, and their brunch cocktails are just as good as their evening ones. Add in the fun atmosphere and great music, and its a perfect night/day/morning out in boston!

Upscale with atmosphere & choice
Wonderful to find a place with sincerely good food that doesn't have a stuffy atmosphere. Appreciated the warmth of the environment . The staff was knowlegeable and friendly. Also nice to have more that 6 choices on a menu in an upscale restaurant--even my picky husband had a hard time deciding what to order and wants to go back!

I am going every night from now on
YUM. Our waiter was knowledgeable and wonderful. The food was outstanding. I am officially obsessed. Highly recommend the crab cake and the mahi mahi.

Great food, medium service
I recently ate at Masa on a Friday night. The trio of ceviches was excellent and very fresh. I had the special, which was halibut and it was the best prepared fish I had in a while. The desserts, though small, were great. Our waiter was not very attentive, and forgot to tell us about the special (we over heard when he told the neighboring table). I would go back for the food and hope for better service!

Highly recommend
Great all around, best meal I've had in a long time. Highly recommend, pricey but worth it. Nice, intimate atmosphere. Great for a special occasion.
