Food was a little too salty. Very noisy restaurant. But the service was impeccable. Can't have everything, right?

    Amazing Stop in Downtown

I have been to Marliave numerous times and have been thoroughly impressed each visit. The service was very timely and the food was delicious. Their drink menu is unique and has an old world feel to it, lots of gin, vodka and bourbon-based drinks. The food was well-priced for what the menu and they have many creative dishes on the list as well. In particular, the french onion soup is wonderful. The only negative comment that I would make is that the atmosphere is one that evokes provencal France. Low tin ceilings, dimly lit, and wooden tables, overall a very intimate effect. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a small group (2-4), but something larger might get lost in the darkness of the restaurant. Overall, Marliave is fast-becoming one of my favorite spots in Downtown.

Good place to have dinner in downtown crossing

Was a little skeptical when I first walked in and the place was pretty empty. But I was pleasently suprised. The food was great and the prices were not bad. Would definitely go back. Hopefully business starts to pick up for them.

    Service

Food was OK. Bread was delicious. Gnocchi was good, very light. Dessert - amazing, got the boston cream pie. Service - unpleasant. The waitress had a scowl on her face the entire time. She never once came over to ask how anything was or if we neede anything. My friend didn't even have a fork when her main course was served. It took 45 minutes to get an appetizer and we STILL hadn't gotten our drinks. Outrageous. Took 2 hours just to get our dessert. Will not be returning.
