    Lobster ws dry and overcooked

I was there in the summer 2008 during some lobster festival and thought "great, this is going to be worth the cost". At something like 40+$ that's to be expected. The lobster turned out to be WAY overcooked, dry and rubbery. I can do better at home in with a December lobster. The place is pretentious anyhow. My girlfriend's dinner was not very good either. In the end, your paying for the right to say "I ate there". What a con.

    Don't Order the Lobster!

The lobster is a complete rip-off! I ordered a medium lobster and when it was cracked opened and ready to eat, there was maybe a tablespoon of meat on my plate! It was way overcooked and at $40 a lobster, insanely overpriced. The chowder is good, probably the best I've ever tried, and the sides are good. But I do think on my next visit to Boston, I will eat elsewhere.

    Okay

Service was sub-par and I felt like it was very crowded. But the food was pretty good.

    Riding on its Reputation

I have ot agree with the other reviews. This place is just riding on its reputation. They can fool the tourists for a while, I guess.

    Lost the touch

I loved legal seafood back in the day but it seems to have lost the exceptional quality that made it world famous. It is more of a tourist place now

    What Happened?

Legal Seafood was such a great place back in the day. Things changed for the worse. Poor food, too expensive and just ok service.
