Legal Sea Foods

I must agree. Food was not worth the wait or effort the place is over rated. I'd rather not ever go back as slow service and unexcited food from start to end and not very welcoming enviroment.

I had heard of legal seafood, so I was expecting good foods though the restaurant seemed expensive. The bottom line is the foods were just okay, and the tuna burger especially was quite disappointing. Though I like the location (right in front of the aquarium), I don't think I will go back there again.

I was there in the summer 2008 during some lobster festival and thought "great, this is going to be worth the cost". At something like 40+$ that's to be expected. The lobster turned out to be WAY overcooked, dry and rubbery. I can do better at home in with a December lobster. The place is pretentious anyhow. My girlfriend's dinner was not very good either. In the end, your paying for the right to say "I ate there". What a con.

The lobster is a complete rip-off! I ordered a medium lobster and when it was cracked opened and ready to eat, there was maybe a tablespoon of meat on my plate! It was way overcooked and at $40 a lobster, insanely overpriced. The chowder is good, probably the best I've ever tried, and the sides are good. But I do think on my next visit to Boston, I will eat elsewhere.

Service was sub-par and I felt like it was very crowded. But the food was pretty good.

I have ot agree with the other reviews. This place is just riding on its reputation. They can fool the tourists for a while, I guess.

I loved legal seafood back in the day but it seems to have lost the exceptional quality that made it world famous. It is more of a tourist place now
