Boston needs help
The cuisine at Koreana was not all that bad... that is if I wasn't Korean and didn't have working taste buds. The atmosphere was cleverly deceptive in making you believe that edible food was going to soon be brought to the table. Authentic Korean it is not. The spicy was not, the barbequed was a wreck and the service didn't do anything to elevate things. It's perfect for the unknowing. Terrible for those with expectations.

Great food, service uneven...
I have a love-hate relationship with this restaurant. The good news is that the food is always good. The bad news is the service is always unpredictable--it can be good and fun or you can be stuck in the corner completely ignored, with empty plates and water glasses. Prices aren't bad, but are too expensive for sub-par service. I'll keep going back for now, though... Good Korean food and a reasonable price.

Awesome food, great staff
I love sushi. They have the best and most fresh. I think that the staff is wonderful, even thought I know them very well. The service may be a little slow, but it does take a long time to make sushi, I've tried.

Not Realllly Korean
I was recommended to go to this restaurant and was dissappointed. I am Korean and I felt that the quality of the food they were serving was subpar. The BBQ meat was not high end and the portions were too small. Also, the side dishes were unexciting. There needs to be another Korean restaurant in Boston!

Good food, poor management.
I've gone to Koreana several times and never had a problem. Their food is quite good, and while one might at first be uncomfortable sitting at the same table as strangers, the setup of the restaurant is actually quite nice. However, my most recent trip there has left me vowing to not go again. As a rather large party (8 people), we had the foresight to make a reservation, both for the restaurant's sake as well as our own. We were told to make sure that everyone was there on time, otherwise we would lose our reservation. Once we arrived, we were informed that our table was not yet ready, and asked to leave the waiting area and head to the bar, as we were "taking up too much space". The manager gestured toward the sushi bar, so we went to sit there. After 15-20 minutes, we were told by the same gentleman to move, as the area where we were seated was for "customers only". He had us standing against the wall in the DINING AREA. Almost an hour after we had originally arrived (a good fifty minutes after our reservation time), we finally left. When we informed the manager that we were leaving, he seemed almost angry. He lost 8 previous and future customers due to his ineffiency and condescending attitude toward us. Was it because of our age? I don't know, but somehow I feel that if we had been middle-aged, we wouldn't have been treated that way.
