    Casual Restaurant, Great Food

Mmmm so tasty, and a great deal! I used to live across the street from King Fung, and went there about once a week, either with friends or by myself. I LOVE their Scallion Pancake- crispy on the outside and soft, chewy and beautifully flavored on the inside. I also always ordered the Dry Fried Beef Chow Foon- tender beef mixed with stir fried bok choy and onions with chewy wide rice noodles. The whole dish is absolutely amazing- i still think about it even though i live so far away now. The food was great, but it was also a bargain, my meal always came to about 11 dollars, for a big rice noodle dish and a big appetizer. One note: Some of my roommates tried King Fung once, and did not enjoy their meals, they told me they had ordered the Sweet and Sour Chicken, and Egg Rolls. It may be that the more "typical Americanized" food at King Fung leaves something to be desired, but I loved some of the more authentically chinese dishes. Its a great place to try new tastes at a great price! The lady that takes your order is so sweet, and her family is around her constantly. It seems like a great family run place. I went once with a big group of hungry friends to get takeout to take back to my apartment, and she thoughfully made a HUGE batch (probably at least 15) of delicious crab rangoon to tide us over while we waited. It made us feel taken care of, and i feel like that every time I go to this restaurant. No, this is not a sit down restaurant with table service. You order and pay at the counter, then either eat your meal at one of the small tables in the sparsely decorated, flourescent-lit dining area, or bring it back home to be enjoyed in a more comfortable setting. Either way you try it, I am sure you will enjoy the food!
