Hi-Rise Bread Company
Posted by Jen on 08/16/2014
I've been to hi rise on multiple occasions and love their food. I love that they make everything from scratch and although I don't have issues with diary, I often indulge in their almond milk products because that's homemade too. However, without fail, every time, at least one staff member is rude. Most small businesses, even the higher end ones, seem to value their customers because without customers there would be no business, it's not the case there. I will continue to indulge rarely because I love the high quality of the product, but I will not make it my every day coffee shop because of the service.

I love the food at hi rise. I find the service to be hit or miss (largely miss). It often feels like they think I'm lucky to be ordering there. Most ordering experiences there I experience some degree of frustration - and for the prices they charge I would just expect them to be much more accommodating. They serve Quiche they can't warm up, they have a website but no menu, they have breakfast but it takes forever (I ordered toast to go and it took 15 minutes and they forgot to put it in a "to go bag" ... little stuff like that but it adds up. I'd definitely go there more if I felt like my business and time were valued and they focused on the customer experience a little bit more.

Behind the counter is a group of electic polite staff serving the best sandwiches in the state. amazing baked goods, marvelous bread and jams are also to be had. the cornbread a fave - also the #4 sandwich - grilled chicken, bacon, kettuce tomato and some amazing homemade mayo. the coconut macaroons are perfection.
