Great Indian Food
I really liked the Indian food, some of the best I've ever eaten. If you like really hot Indian food, I don't think this was the place as my food was a spicy, but still very mild. The service was as I've found at most Indian restaurants, stiff and awkward, but my glass was always full so no complaints. The biggest plus for this restaurant is in value. It is about $11-$16 for the dinner meal, which includes soup, a samosa, the entree, rice, dessert, and tea. For a complete meal, I'd say that is a great deal for the Boston/Cambridge area. The atmosphere was relaxed and the decore was very interesting. If you are going on a date, they have a little secluded balcony with seating for one table that would be extremely romantic (you'd likely have to request this table as the servers wouldn't like to continually climb a flight of stairs). So overall I'd say it was top notch and I'd go back....maybe requesting that secluded table on the balcony.

best indian in cambridge
i was confident in the persons review before mine, and i am glad i was. the food was wonderful, servers were very nice and the atmosphere was nice for eating in. we all ordered the "complete" dinners which included a soup, dinner, rice, desert and coffee or tea for about 9-11 dollars per person! there is lots to choose from on the menu and I even had enough left over for a full dinner the next night. i will be returning there very soon!

Authentic dishes, delightful staff
I've been to India 6 times and I'm quite addicted to Indian food. I've also tried just about every Indian restaurant in Boston, Cambridge, and Somerville. This restaurant wins on just about every category and every dish. Of particular quality is the dosa (truly South India quality), mattar paneer, spinach dishes, kormas, chicken dishes - and perfectly prepared fresh breads. It's a bit of a hybrid of South India and Mughal cuisine, but they do both perfectly. There are other good Indian restaurants - and no one can cover all of them. But this restaurant is the best sit-down places I've been to.
