I come here often with friends, and the experience does vary a bit from time to time. However, the portions are larger than most, and the price is really quite affordable and, depending on what you order, the food can be quite good. If you like to dine out late at night, then it is definitely one of the best options around. I suggest the chicken Marsala, or the steak tips, both of which come with thick, steak cut fries. Also, the sandwiches can be quite good, and depending on what you order, the appetizers are huge. Sometimes, it can be quite crowded, while others, it is more empty. I wouldn't come here and expect the quality of food and service that one might find at the four seasons, but realistically, that is not the experience that one is hoping for when they go to a restaurant like the globe.

I just had lunch with 5 co-workers. The food was medocore to bad. One of our hot sandwiches was cold, and a BLT came without the T! Throughout the lunch our service was slow and unresponsive. After our waitress brought our check, she disappeared. After 10 minutes I went looking for her with credit card in hand and found her sitting at the bar! She was not apologetic. There are plenty of great restaurants in Boston in this price range, so I would not waste your time or money going ot the Globe.

I went to this place to meet a friend who works in Copley. The moment I asked if I could sit outside the hostess looked at me with my kid in the stroller and told me "you will have to order something ". Who goes to a restaurant if you are not ordering food. Also the place is absolutely not kid friendly. If I am shopping in Copley and want to grab a bite and sit outside to enjoy Copley's scenery, if you don't want kids in your place well make it a complete bar. I felt the whole time that they didn't want me and my son in there. Also their kids menu was all faded, maybe water fail on it , they didn't even bother printing a new one. The whole experience was horrific. I will never go there again.

Wife and I had two meals here in July 2009. Beautiful weather so we were able to sit outside on the patio and enjoy the splendid view out over Copley Square. Prices right, service friendly-- maybe a bit more interesting when you can sit outside, the inside looked a bit sterile. Both meals, I had the basic fish and chips and they were excellent, washed down with excellent Harpoon lager.

We've visited this place 3 times during our week here, twice for lunch and once for drinks in the evening. The food is good; have tried the soup and sandwich combo, steak tip sandwich and hamburger. All were tasty. Free refills on soda at lunchtime a big plus! Wait staff are friendly. Irish bartender in the evening is very personable. Try it if you want a relaxed lunch or evening out.
