Tiramisu to die for
My friend and I had just finished a long day of dress shopping in the north end and were absolutely starving. This little restaurant was perfect for our pasta craving! She ordered the gnocchi with a marinara sauce to die for, and I had the caprese salad made with incredibly fresh tomatoes to start. For my entree, three cheese ravioli, a simple classic covered in a light and fresh marinara and basil sauce. For desert the two of us split some of the best tiramisu I've ever had. It's one of my favorites, but I've never had it with caramel or powdered sugar and both were drizzled and dusted on this version of the desert. I recommend the restaurant for small groups ready for great food

Great pizza, great clams
Food was very good, but the waiter was very very sad. Hope he didn't get bad news when myself and wife were there on vacation!

Gennaro’s Italian Cuisine As Experienced By An Italian
My wife and I had the distinct pleasure of dinning at Gennaro’s 5 North Square (Chelsea, Massachusetts 02150) on October 8, 2010. Let me preface that by stating my wife is always skeptical of dining in an Italian restaurant with me, because being of Italian descent and having lived in Europe for a few years, I am critical of faux Italian cuisine. Gennaro’s provides a very comfortable ambiance without being too austere. The staff was extremely attentive and pleasant. The faire was in my judgment, superb! My wife thoroughly enjoyed the Chicken Broccoli and Ziti. I imbibed on an order of Steamed Mussels, as an appetizer, and Veal Ravioli for my entre. I cleansed my palate, in between bites, with Peroni. Needless-to-say, there was no room for desert. The portions are hearty. The quality of the food and presentation were excellent!! My compliments to Gennaro’s. I enthusiastically recommend this fine Italian restaurant and look forward to dining there on my next visit to Boston, Massachusetts.
