heavy bacon odor
The flour bakery in the South End smells strongly of bacon any time you go in - so much so it made me uncomfortable. I sat and ate there exactly once - but then had to come home and wash my hair and clothes. I do like their baked goods - I can rush in and out without the bacon odor sticking to me. They should do something about it. I won't sit and eat again, and I will recommend against it to people. Too bad - staff is very nice, much more pleasant and helpful than average.

Disappointing
I understand some people like this but I personally found it to be an overrated American bakery. The breads and deserts are adequate. If you've traveled overseas or even spent time in Montreal you'll realize it's not worth the hype.

Awesome Everything
Flour is sooo good!! Their food is delicious, their coffee is awesome, and the people who work there are great. The only downfall is that it is a small cafe, so it gets very crowded at peak morning and lunch times...call your food in ahead of time!! Even so, it's worth the long wait in line to have a really great experience!!

Excellent Bakery
The Flour Bakery and Cafe is by far one of Boston's best bakeries. The foods are simple, classic, delicious, and beautiful. Whether you are interested in a sandwich, soup, cookie, bread, idividual pizza, or any other creation, the food is fantastic.
