Boston's Jewel
The critics and Phantom Gourmet may rate this restaurant well below others, but, take in this review from a regular person with a love of food. As soon as you sit down, and indulge in the fresh cut bread and infused olive oil, you will be hooked. My meal began witrh a perfect carpaccio and perfectly prepared asparagus. I followed with lobster ravioli, and since this is Boston, many other restaurants may claim to have the best lobster ravioli, but I've been to many high-end establishments throughout the city, and this lobster ravioli, with a beautiful tomato cream lobster chunk sauce cannot be beat. Finishing with the tiramisu was a charm, as it too, no surprise, was perfect. Ladies and gentlemen, skip Top of the Hub, Taranta, and everywhere else with overrated reviews. If you are looking for exceptional food, seriously, do yourselves a favor and vistit Florentine Cafe, a Boston's North End gem.
