All around disappointment
We live in the North End and have thus eaten at many of the local restaurants. Our experience was simply disappointing. We chose the restaurant based on the high ratings and compliments on menupages.com and don't agree with any of the feedback. Service was lackluster and food quality was worse. Nothing seemed fresh. Our veal was tough, cold and flavorless. Others in our group had chicken and seafood... no one was particulary pleased. None of us finished our dishes and none of us cared to take our leftovers home. Sorry!!!

Exceptional Food!!!
I am an eggplant lover and have never found a restaurant with good, thin eggplant! We stopped in because they had a sign out on the blackboard that said 'Award Winning Eggplant' and my goodness it was! The slices were paper thin and layered with cheese. This had to be the absolute best eggplant I have ever had! My boyfriend had the Veal Broccolitini and that was exceptional also. This is now our very favorite spot! Definitely off the beaten track but ohhhhhh so worth it! :)

must try
I won't give a full fledged review, but implore you to try the Positelli Cavitano!!! We live in the North End and eat at the various restaurants quite a bit. This is by far my number one favorite dish out of them all. Don't let the simplicity of the recipe (as described in the menu) fool you...you won't be sorry. (Incidentally, the chicken alla portabella is pretty darn delicious too)

North End Gem
Food- exceptional, the special "chicken breast stuffed with proscuitto and mozarella over homemade rissoto" is a must have. The Veal Braciolettini was one of the best veal dishes I have had, and the Seafood Fernando was also very good and loaded with fresh scallops, shrimp and mussels. Service - The waitress was very friendly and explained the menu very well. The wine presentation was a little rough, but she got the job done. When the food was brought, the runner did not know where the dishes went, which allways frustrates me because it is so easy to figure out behind the scenes and looks much more professional. The busser fumbled with the clearing process and almost dropped a dinner knife in the lap of one of my guests. I may be to critical in this aspect of the dinning experience, but everything communicates. Value - very reasonable prices. We only had entrees, because of previous appetizers, and all of the entrees were priced right for their size. Atmosphere - Its great to sneak away from the masses on Hanover and into the "Homey" feel of Five North Square". The tables are nice sized and not crammed together like many of the restaurants in the North End. Its a great place to bring a date as well as a small gathering of friends or family. Overall a great place for fantastic food, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Highly Reccomeded
