Great for food
After being shown to our table, we waited a god ten minutes to be officially acknowledged by our waitress. however, the amazing ten dollar drinks made up for it. The calamari was salty, but light and overall delicious and fresh. The entrees were superb however. The mashed potatoes just about made my week. Great food and drinks, a little pricey, but great for a date or a special dinner. A wonderful culinary experience.

Amazing service
While it was pretty packed and a bit odd to sit in the middle of the room, our waitress saw we were celebrating our anniversary and offered us a free champaign toast! I almost cried! So nice, and absolutely amazing food. The prices are very high (but totally worth it).

stay with the basics
fun, upbeat, contemporary atmosphere. Very good service. Food was quite salty and the fish was unnecessarily heavy rather than light, flavorful and healthy. Appetizers were solid. Seems like other reviews and my experience would suggest sticking with the basics.

Perfect meal before the game
What a surprise! My husband and I impulsively ducked into Eastern Standard before an evening Red Sox game expecting a typical bar food kind of snack. We shared a bowl of vibrant asparagus soup and each had the small tuna nicoise. Superb food. If you order wine by the glass, the wait staff brings the bottle to the table, shows you the label, and then pours you a small tasting for sampling, just as though you had ordered a full bottle, Very classy. With a couple of drinks each, our meal was only $60. Wish we had more excuses to be in Kenmore Square so we could dine there more often.

Hip spot for drinks and a bite to eat
We've been to Eastern Standard a few times before heading to Fenway for the game - I love that they let folks wearing hats and t-shirts in along side the suits and ties, that is part of the cool atmosphere. Call me cheap but I would never order an $11 plate of eggs and toast for that kind of cash get yourself a burger. My husband and I split a sandwich and side of fresh fruit and it was the perfect pre-game meal on a warm summer afternoon. The drinks are fantastic - way too pricey - but yummy none the less. They offered to make my husband a Bloody Mary with habanero pepper vodka - wicked bite to it but man oh man was it good.

A new old-standby
I really enjoy this place: the service is high class, the food is incredible, the drinks are amazing and the crowd is hip but laid back and relaxed. It's big and spread out, so you don't feel smooshed. And the patio is great for watching the Red Sox fans flock to Fenway.

Dissapointed
This place is way overpriced for underwhelming food. If they are going to charge 11 dollars for eggs and toast, then they should at put more effort into it. Poached eggs on an english muffin, 3 dollar tea- not too happy
