Best Spanish Tapas this Side of the Atlantic
As a long-time resident of Boston, now living in New York City, the one thing I really miss is an evening at Dali's. From the quirky, fun ambiance - the tin ceiling, rustic bar, things on the walls, etc. to the spectacular dishes, to the oh-so-satisfying sangria, Dali's is a wonderful experience that will delight all your senses. The food is true to the Spanish tradition of tapas. Beautifully prepared, full of flavor and filling. A tapa you cannot miss is the octopus salad. It is fantastic. The house sangria is one of the best I have had. Careful though. They go down easy and you can keep the pitchers coming all night. Not only will you be bombed, but broke as well. They are somewhat pricey - but worth every penny. When I lived in Boston, Dali's was a weekly treat and a "must" when I had guests in town. I always got great reviews. Truly. In a landscape of overdone tapa places, Dali's is the true gem and the real deal. One note of caution, it fills up fast, so get there early.
