I've been to Cuchi Cuchi many times and never once have I ever had nor heard a complaint about the food from anyoneeverything I've had was delicious, well-prepared, and well-presented... I can't get enough of the fried artichokes stuffed with gorgonzola and pistachios. I've had and/or tasted several of their martinis (blood orange, espresso, a raspberry one of some sort, etc.), none of which have yet to disappoint. Though their wines by the glass can be hit-or-miss, they generally have a gem in there (which may or may not be sold out). The ambiance is definitely good for a date, even if a few of the items of the decor look a little like they came from a garage saleit's eclectic. Low points include a couple of the male bartenders being inattentive. I've noticed that some of the hostesses tend to be less accommodating if you are making a fuss, so perhaps that is what the previous reviewer encountered... but they're nice people and will treat you well if you are friendly with them. The drinks are generally perceived as a bit overpriced, but they are also bigger than your standard martini, so you can't make a straight comparison. I did have to wait for 1 hour 45 min the first time I went there, but that was due to having a party of 10ever since then I've had no problems and have loved nearly everything about it.

A friend told me the ambiance was great, so I thought I'd give it a try. I arrived on a Saturday night and asked the hostess how long (as they don't take reservations). She told me just a few minutes, so I was sent to the bar for cocktails. The drinks were abominable and overpriced. Their signature "Blackberry Cosmo" was tasteless. AN HOUR LATER, I see friends of the hostess waltz in and get seated. As I confronted the hostess, she denied the claim and sent me away promising just another few minutes. After waiting 10 more minutes, and having yet another disappointing cocktail (Mango Margarita) I left. I will never go back and frankly find their lack of respect insulting.
