    Overpriced from the Start

We walked into a 1/2 full room on a Saturday night around 7:30 & seated at a wobbly a bar top table with chairs that rocked due to an uneven floor. Drinks were prompt & decent. -The Ipswitch clam app. was chewy & seemed as it may have been cooked more than one time. The waitress asked, but didn't seem affected by our opinion. -We ordered our main course & waited close to a 1/2 hour. While waiting we witnessed 2 tables sending food back to the kitchen. Not a good sign... Our food arrived & the waitress offered a drink on the house due to the long wait. -My entree: the scallop risotto special of the night consisted of cold scallops & runny, undercooked risotto. My wife's entree: the Pappardelle, "Savory meat sauce with pancetta, beef & pork, homemade pasta" Where to start.... The pasta was undercooked and stuck together. The sauce was more like chopped hamburger with some sort of canned brown cream sauce. **Until this occasion, we have never sent our meals back. We were utterly disappointed and left without eating dinner. I don't know if there was an issue with the chef that night (Prime time), but we work hard for our money and after 2 strikes, we were not about to give them another chance. I would not recommend dinner at this this restaurant to anyone.

    A good meal

Simply put: The drinks are inventive, delicious, and dangerous The food is very good, but brunch is great (steak and eggs is the weakest link) The service is very friendly and relaxing

    New Favorite Place!

We stumbled upon Church last weekend and had amazing drinks and ceviche at their cute outdoor patio. Went back today for brunch (inside) and were thrilled again. French toast and pancakes were excellent! The bartender makes an amazing Bloody Mary. Love it because there is no wait for tables, even during prime brunch time.

    a religious experience at church

I am a Boston chef, and walked into church about a month after it opened. I now go to brunch every sunday, and dinner at least once a month. The food is great, the prices are low, the staff is very personable and accomodating, and by the way the shortrib appetizer may be the best I have had. My only worry is that not enough people know about this place, and I don't want to see them close.
