I never do reviews but this place deserves it. They have very well crafted dishes. The menu items are simple italian dishes but are cooked very well and from what I can tell, are cooked to order. Most places in the financial district will batch cook everything just to survive the lunch time rush. They have some great specials that take hours to make that are usually pre-made; but they are "special" and you have to get there before they are gone. Most lunch places and people think "specials" mean cheap deals and that's it; like they are discount deals on food they need to get rid of; not this place. I usually go here after 1:30pm to miss the rush. I was astonished when I ordered some Carbonara on pasta and I saw the cook grab a skillet and start making the sauce, and in no time he was done with the whole dish. I have had to wait longer for a grilled cheese by a food truck. Seriously though, the Carbonara on Fusilli pasta is outstanding; if you are jonesing for some mac n' cheese, get this instead!

Great for takeaway lunch due to lack of seating. The staff is friendly, and the food fresh and delicious. It won't be the quickest stop you could make for lunch, but this is only because they slice the meat and cheese in front of you. One of my favorite stops in the Financial District for real Italian subs.

The food is excellent. Price is right. I went in after the lunch rush for the first time and was given a sampling of a bunch of stuff on a plate it was all good. I have also had the Lasagne al Pesto (wednesday special) is was very good as well. They seem to like good and unique ingredients. Which is unique for a lunch place with these prices. This place deserve to be in the heart of the North End. During the lunch rush there seems to be a bit of stress behind the counter. They might need more help or are still going thru the opening pains. They have been open for roughly a month on this review.
