high price not reflected on food
we called for take out, the food was expensive, and wasn't anything special. It was basic stuff anyone with buitoni from the supermarket could throw together. The only difference, buitoni will run you around 10 bucks at the market, this place will hit you for 25.

awesome!!
The food here is excellent! and the portions are huge. two of us got a pizza and gnocci dish. we made a big mistake having an appetizer - there was enough food in all for about 4 people easily! the eggplant rotillini appetizer was the best i've ever had in my life. the alfredo pizza was absolutely delicious. it's hard to mess up pizza it's equally difficult to make a superb on too. this was superb! as was the gnocchi. cooked to perfection - truly al dente and a very generous portion too. some have critiqued this place as a bit pricey. Carmen's kitchen is worth every penny IMHO!

Avoid Delivery
Had a recent delivery of two pasta dishes... the dishes were mediocre—at bestand way overpriced $40 dollars for Rigatoni Alla Vodka and Chicken Parm!!! I’ve had two decent meals in the restaurant, but was truly disappointed by the quality and value of this meal I had delivered.

eastboston's best little resturant
the atmosphere is great. a real home style atmosprere.the food is a little pricey but the portions are well worth the money..the food itself is excellent.the pizza is one of the best around ...and the italian dishes are unbelievable...all in all this place is A+...if your in eastie you have got to stop by and try this place you wont regret it......
