    Great food, romantic, cozy

The service, presentation, and atmosphere were great, and the food was delicious. It is a great date spot, or for a small intimate group of friends. A little pricey, but worth it for a nice occasion.

    Best Italian Food In Boston!

My daughter and grand daughter and I ate dinner at Carmen last Sunday evening. I grew up in Boston eating ate the old Pushcart, which is gone now. I've also eaten all over Italy, and can honestly say I have never had a better Italian meal! We tried the fish, duck, and linguini with clams. Every bite was heaven! From the bread to the wine and everything in between it was an absolute joy! DO make a reservation! People were turned away, even a few famous ones, in droves. We will be back! Enjoy!

    Cozy and delicious

My boyfriend and I had a great time at Carmen. Despite the very small space (people, realize this: no big groups, and don't come in with an attitude), service is great, and you don't feel that you're surrounded by chaos. Order some wine and marinated mushrooms and relax. I love to check out other people's food while I'm waiting for mine. Someone ordered the penne baked in parchment, and the aroma filled the room when they broke the parchment open. My envy evaporated when my crespelle came out. The bolognese was like none I've ever had - more of a rich meat filling than a sauce. And we thought the value was very good, clearly not cheap, but for a delicious, romantic dinner, you are certainly getting your money's worth.
