Carmelina's North End

After walking around the North End for 10 minutes we decided to eat at Carmelinas. After waiting for about 20 minutes we finally got our order taken, the food came quickly but after that we did not see the waitress back at our table. We also we not given any bread, or asked how our meals were. Overall the food was mediocre and the service was terrible. I would not recommend their resturant.

every dish that is prepared in Carmelina is superb , tasty and delectable... the spices are just right the sauces compliment each plate. I love the décor of the place and how he has an open kitchen it shows his real talent as a wonderful chief , owner and passion for cooking .. its a slice of Italian heaven ! Damien is so personal he will come to you table and chat I feel like I m with family when I eat here .. he made us a special mushroom risotto that was so creamy & delish

We had a great evening, i don't usually write reviews but this time they deserve one. Calamari ripieni superb, Mimmo's baked meatballs just like my father in law in italy would make them, very nice. the best dish of all Pollo (chicken) with marsala wine and smoked mozzarella. only two complaints, 1) portions too big, 2) service too good.

I tried this place out because the classy atmosphere and open-air dining drew me in. Spaghetti and clams was delicious and I tried my dining partners's lobster risotto which was very good but very rich. Portion sizes were decent. Chefs seem to be working very hard in the back!
