disappointing
I have eaten here before and it was OK. But after tonight, I will not go back. The food was oversalted, every dish. Vegetable biryani, which can be delectable and light, was heavy, greasy, clearly made with leftovers, without a trace of the spices and nuts described on the menu. The food tasted mass produced. Service was ho hum. No condiments were offered with our appetizer samosas, and the main course dishes were dumped at the table in what looked like cereal bowls. Much better Indian food to be had west of the city in Maynard and Acton!

Amazing Vegetarian Dishes
I usually order their Chicken Biryani which is excellent. I like that you can choose how spicy you want your food to be. Lately I've been ordering from their vegetarian dishes, trying a different dish every time I visit. My favorite is their Saag Paneer. The cheese is home-made and always fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Simply the best
I used to live for a couple of years in Cambridge and ate at Cafe of India every week. To me, it is the best Indian food i have ever had. The chicken Makhini is my favorite! Since then I keep trying Indian food but nothing compare to this restaurant!

Delicious, lovely setting
My favorite Indian restaurant in Harvard Square. The food is delicious and flavorful and the service is friendly. In nice weather the front window/doors are opened so that you can eat semi-outdoors - it's a lovely spot, not too hectic but still with great people watching. I highly recommend the weekend buffet as well!
